Maleny Music Festival Warm Up: Friday 17 February, 2023 The Maleny Music Festival will be back again in 2023 at the Maleny Showgrounds, 13 Maleny Stanley River Rd, Maleny. As a prelude to the 3 Day Festival in June the Summer Warm Up will feature local and interstate performers  All venues for this event are indoors. Book at the link.

Lyn Live: Friday 17 February, 2023 Lyn Bowtell Wiser Album Tour at the Maleny Community Centre, 23 Maple Street, Maleny. Lyn will be joined by Special Guest Artist Kelly Brouhaha. 7.30pm-9.30pm. Book at the link.

Witta Market: Saturday 18 January, 2023 A monthly market that showcases fresh fruit and vegetables, hot food, condiments, meat, eggs, cheese, smallgoods, coffee, arts and craft, music and more. Held at the Old Witta School, 316 Witta Road, Witta Rain, rain, hail or shine. 7am – 12pm.

Bunya Dreaming: Saturday 25 February, 2023 Returning after COVID cancellations, Bunya Dreaming will be held at Ewan Maddock Dam.

Those Folk: Thursday 2 March, 2023 Charismatic, authentic and thoroughly entertaining, Lawrence Menard  and Clare Quinn  are the transpacific-troubadours known as Those Folk. Alexander McCall Smith in Conversation: Friday 10 March, 2023 Alexander (Sandy) McCall Smith is best known for his Mma Precious Ramotswe novels, The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency. He returns to Australia to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their publication. He is, also, the author of another 55 novels. Maleny Primary School, 26 Bunya Street, Maleny. 6.30pm-8.00pm. Motorcycle Club Swap Meet: Saturday 11 March, 2023 The Sunshine Coast branch of the Historical Motorcycle Club will hold their annual Swap Meet at the Maleny Showgrounds. Massive variety of new and used parts and bikes. Gates open at 6am. Free parking inside grounds.

Film Screening – Mrs Harris Goes to Paris: Saturday 11 March, 2023 Two screenings at the Maleny Community Centre in Maple Street. Speak UP Session: Monday 20 March, 2023 Held at the Maleny RSL Hall, 1 Bunya trees, Maleny. This free event focusses on legal and financial abuse of older people. RSVP at the link by 13 March, 2023.

Paul Ballum-Cross Concert: Sunday 26 March, 2023 At St George’s Anglican Church, Maleny, 2 Walkers Dr, Maleny. Come and enjoy this afternoon of classics and compositions. Paul is a Brisbane based writer, composer and classical guitarist. In this concert he performs a cross section of works including favourites from the Spanish guitar repertoire, movements from famous Bach Cello Suites and some scintillating rarities! 2pm. TreX Cross Triathlon Series: Saturday 22 April, 2023 Camp Koongamoon Environment and Rec Centre Access, Landsborough. Based on the banks of Ewen Maddock dam this course offers the very best of the Sunshine Coast hinterland with its rainforest trails and fern-filled bushland. 6:30 am – 1:30 pm

Maleny Wood Expo: Saturday 29 April – Monday 1 May. 2023 Held at the Maleny Showgrounds, the Wood Expo is designed to promote sustainable use of our beautiful native timbers through the work of local and regional wood artisans. The Expo is recognised as one of the best wood shows in Australia.

Maleny Music Winter Solstice Festival: Friday 23 – Sunday 25 June, 2023 Held at the Maleny Showgrounds, 13 Maleny Stanley River Rd, Maleny, the weekend Festival Event is filled with many talented musicians, performing arts, market stalls, workshops and chances to try out lots of new experiences.

Knitfest: Saturday 1 – Monday 3 July, 2023 Knitfest is an exciting weekend Yarn & Fibre Arts Festival. See the main street of Maleny come alive with yarnbombing. Enjoy competitions, workshops, guest speakers, trade and market stalls.

The Curated Plate: Friday 28 July – Sunday 6 August, 2023 The Curated Plate is the premier culinary festival of the Sunshine Coast. The home-grown festival is a 10-day celebration of the region’s local produce, producers and chefs, and unique natural assets from the sea to the hinterland. More info and book at the link.

Rangebow Festival: Thursday 10 August – Sunday 13 August, 2023 A community-based not-for-profit festival at multiple sites across The Range. Celebrating the creative life and spirit of the range communities with a focus on  diversity, inclusiveness, sustainability and reconciliation.

Blackall 100: Saturday 14- Sunday 15 October, 2023 The Blackall 100 is a trail ultra-marathon that traverses the Great Walk of the Sunshine Coast. The event is open to runners and walkers with distances of 100 kilometres and 50 kilometres. QCCC Mapleton, 70 Obi Obi Rd, Mapleton.
