Backyards for Biodiversity SEQ: Tuesday 11 October, 2022 At the Mapleton Community Library at 6pm. Guest speaker Ken Cross, will speak about a new environmental not=for=profit organisation, Backyards for Biodiversity SEQ Inc.

Witta Market: Saturday 15 October, 2022 A monthly market that showcases fresh fruit and vegetables, hot food, condiments, meat, eggs, cheese, smallgoods, coffee, arts and craft, music and more. Held at the Old Witta School, 316 Witta Road, Witta Rain, rain, hail or shine. 7am-12pm.

Maleny River School Spring Fair: Saturday 15 October, 2022 Join the The River School at 251 Bridge Creek Rd, Maleny, for a day of family fun and community connection.  Food and activity stalls will be available.  Book in for a school tour with the Principal.  Buses will be operating from Cooke Park and the Maleny Showgrounds (by gold coin donation), as parking is limited. 10am-2pm. 

The Blackall 100: Saturday 15 October, 2022 This is is a trail ultra-marathon that traverses the beautiful and scenic Great Walk of the Sunshine Coast. The event is open to runners and walkers with distances of 100 kilometres and 50 kilometres. See the link for entry details, including entry dates.

Trex Sunshine Coast: Saturday 22 October, 2022 An action packed weekend of off road adventure for the entire family, TreX Sunshine Coast is  hosted in Landsborough. Based on the banks of Ewen Maddock dam this course offers the very best of the Sunshine Coast hinterland with its rainforest trails and fern-filled bushland. Entry details at the link.

Trail Run Australia: Sunday 23 October, 2022 Trail Run Australia | Sunshine Coast is hosted in conjunction with the TreX X-Tri Sunshine Coast which makes up an action packed weekend of off road events for the entire family. The course takes you in and around Beerwah State Forest on the shores of Ewen Maddock Dam with the majority of the running on winding single track through ferned rainforest. Maleny Wood Expo: Saturday 29 April – Monday 1 May. 2023 Held at the Maleny Showgrounds, the Wood Expo is designed to promote sustainable use of our beautiful native timbers through the work of local and regional wood artisans. The Expo is recognised as one of the best wood shows in Australia.
